Most of you will be
familiar with the Jelly Roll – the collection of 40 x 2.5” wide strips that
Moda bring out with all their collections.
There are many books with wonderful designs that can be created with
these Jelly Rolls.
However, there is also
the Dessert Roll. This is the same
concept, but the strips are 5” wide and there are just 20 pieces of fabric. Both the Jelly Roll and Dessert Roll have 2.5
metres of fabric in them so can make a sizeable quilt. The benefit of having larger strips of fabric
is that it allows greater versatility and is especially good for fabrics with
larger prints.

The Dessert Roll is
not available for all collections and rarely available in the UK. JuBerry recognized the versatility of this
new pre-cut and we now create our own dessert rolls for all our Moda
collections that come in.
There is also a great
book by Pam and Nicky Lintott – Dessert Rolls which has some brilliant patterns
in and can be purchased from our website.
